COURSE OBJECTIVES: This course is a collaborative effort between facilitators (hosts) and instructors (petrAlogists/petrAheads) to examine Rock Culture through an Interactive Study. Instructors include all individuals who contribute personal experience and knowledge to this interactive study. Facilitators are here to help guide the process of this study.

Complete 1 Assignment and become a Bachelor of petrAlogy
Complete 2 Assignments and become Master of petrAlogy
Complete 3 Assignments and become a Doctor of petrAlogy
Assignment I: petrAspell
Click in to petrAlogy 233,track the band names, and spell a word using the first letter of each band.
Assignment II: petrAband Family Tree
Put together a family tree of one of your favorite Rock Bands; including which bands/projects members were/are in pre and post the band.
Assignment III: petrAresources
Identify a resource you feel will be insightful for your petrApeers. Resources can include but not limited to; books, documentaries, interviews, movies & links.

Assignment IV: Rock N’ Role Project
Define your role in rock: for example your role can be: a fan, band member, street team, manager, security, producer, publicist, venue owner, journalist, tour bus driver, photographer, etc. You can do this in the form of a paper or an on-air interview.
Examples: petrAlogist Grasshopper shared the art of row-hopping at shows.
petrAlogist Aurora Nova shared her experiences as a drummer and kept us posted on her band Truth & Tempest
Assignment V: Undergo petrAlogical Questioning
Answer questions asked by your petrApeers during the show.
Assignment VI: The Bestest petrAband Ever Project
If you could put together the most Amazing Rock Band EVER, any rocker dead or alive!!! Who would be in it?
Assignment VII: Just Make Up Your Own petrAproject
Create your own petrAproject
Examples: Grasshopper created the petrAsmackdown project. petrAlogist SubJunk is currently researching which bands cropped up after the Ramones first World Tour. petrAlogsit Liz Weston came up the idea of a Fantasy petrAband project and Undercover Steve named it “The Bestest petrAband Ever!!!”
